Recently, we have come into contact with quite a few companies that want to create their own luggage brands,

but there are some problems when it comes to how to start or how to communicate with luggage manufacturers.

The following are some suggestions and responses we have made based on the problems existing in the customer. We hope they will be of some help to you.

First of all, you need to know why you want to create a luggage brand. There are countless luggage brands around the world. Compare them and see if you have any new ideas or more practicality. Have you figured out how to sell them? If you have already made up your mind, then you can start to create your own luggage brand

First of all, you need to have a general understanding of your suitcase accessories. Different materials have different prices and positioning. For big suitcase brands, PC material suitcases are their standard configuration. Among them, one material that is easily overlooked is ABS+PC material, which is also a material chosen by many niche brands. Its quality may not have as long a service life as PC material, but it is a material with high cost performance. Because its appearance is very similar to PC material, but the price is relatively lower.
For the others, such as trolley, wheels, handles, combination locks and interiors, you can fully understand their differences, then record them and tell your manufacturer

Many customers are torn between choosing the existing mold design of the manufacturer or developing their own mold design. From a long-term development perspective, opening a suitcase design of your own is a good choice, but it also means that you need to spend more energy designing a suitcase. The advantage of this, of course, is that when customers see this suitcase, they will think of your brand. The existing mold selection from the manufacturer also means that this type of suitcase may also appear in your market. If its price is lower than yours, your advantage will be somewhat reduced but you will save a development cost. It depends specifically on whether you have the energy to develop a new product.

For a newly established luggage brand, the minimum order quantity is a question that many customers would raise. In the early stage, they may all hope to have a small quantity as a testing phase. So when communicating with the supplier in the early stage, you should first make it clear that your initial quantity will not be too large and ask the supplier about the minimum order requirements. Perhaps as a large factory, it needs to maintain the operation of the factory, and the minimum order quantity is generally higher. For some medium-sized or friendly small factories, a small initial quantity is acceptable.

Most luggage factories can accept customization, but in the initial communication, try to choose a professional and patient factory. Professionalism means that he knows a lot about suitcases so well that he can understand and respond to the questions you raise. Patience means that if the factory is in a peak season, he may not be able to reply to you in time and your development time will be longer than you imagine.

Other issues involve: sample-making fees, sample-making time, unit price of bulk goods, port of departure, payment methods, etc

Hope this article can be of help to you. Wish you a happy life
